Windows 10 build 14322 is a build of Windows 10 Anniversary Update, which was uploaded to BetaArchive on 8 May 2016.
This build is notable for introducing many updates to its user interface.

Setup[edit | edit source]
The first logon text has been slightly adjusted.
User interface[edit | edit source]
Login screen[edit | edit source]
Media controls for local media files have been added and email addresses when signed to a Microsoft account are now hidden on the lock screen by default.
Cortana has been integrated to the lock screen and can only be used for basic tasks.

The left layout on the start menu has been overhauled to have the most used apps list and the All apps list merged into a single view. The user avatar, power options, Settings, File Explorer option and any additional folders have been moved to the far-left side.
The all apps list has been added back to the full-screen start menu.
Taskbar[edit | edit source]
The taskbar has received several improvements with the ability to only hide the taskbar while in tablet mode, clock and calendar being visible across multiple monitors, and the addition of notification badges. The volume flyout has been updated to allow switching between multiple audio output devices.
The legacy Taskbar and Start Menu Properties have been fully migrated to the Settings app.
Search[edit | edit source]
Cortana can now be used without signing in to a Microsoft account and new types for creating reminders have been added, which includes photo reminder and content reminder from UWP apps that utilize share contract. Integration with OneDrive file searches have been added.
It is no longer possible to disable Cortana branding on a generic Search user interface without the use of group policy or registry editing.
Task View[edit | edit source]
Touchpad swipe gestures that allow switching between virtual desktops been added.
Action Center[edit | edit source]
The action center icon position has been rearranged to the far-right side of the taskbar and it now displays the amount of notifications that were previously sent. Individual app notifications no longer show the app icon repeated for each notification, and instead group them into a header that groups them all together for the selected app. Insight reminders from Cortana was also added.
The ability to configure quick actions through the Settings app has been added and the Network quick action now opens the View Available flyout, rather than enabling or disabling the current network connection.
Japanese IME[edit | edit source]
Updates to the Japanese IME have been made such as improvements to the prediction capability and cloud suggestions, the ability to expand the prediction candidate window by hitting the Tab at the bottom of the window to find various formats of date expressions, conversion result being shown in the prediction candidate window if the text is too long, and the addition of Private mode.
Settings[edit | edit source]
The overall layout for the Settings application has been completely overhauled with many quality of life improvements such as the the home page being slightly adjusted with the main text and search being moved to upper middle, light mode color being changed from lighter gray to simply white, featuring individual icons that are associated on all pages and as well as the page search box being rearranged to left layout section along with the addition of dropdown flyout with page suggestions when typing.
The pen settings page has received updates, which includes the ability to adjust pen shortcuts, a new option to ignore output while using the pen, and settings for Windows Ink Workspace. The touch keyboard and handwriting panel settings were also separated into two.
The ability to reset an UWP application if it gets into a faulty state has been added to Apps and features page.
The Windows Insider Program settings has been moved into its own dedicated settings page.

File Explorer[edit | edit source]
The File Explorer iconography has been updated from a brighter tan to white grayish appearance on the outside. Additionally, it is no longer pinned to the taskbar by default.
Windows Ink Workspace[edit | edit source]
Windows Ink Workspace has been added, which allows the user to create sticky notes, draw on a sketchpad and create annotations on screenshots using Screen Sketch. In relation to this, an early version of the modern Sticky Notes app has also been introduced as a replacement for the legacy variant.
Skype[edit | edit source]
The Skype UWP Preview app now has the ability to create and send group messages, as well as making group audio and video calls.
Windows Journal[edit | edit source]
Windows Journal has been completely removed from the operating system.
