Ubuntu 22.04 is a LTS release of Ubuntu which was released to the public on 21 April 2022 under the codename "Jammy Jellyfish".

- GNOME has been updated to version 42, which adds several new features compared to 3.36 in the previous LTS version.
- This version now features a new Flutter-based installer.
- This version adds improved support for the Raspberry Pi.
- UI accent colors can now be changed via Settings.
- The logo has been changed. This version of said logo was shown on a blog by Canonical Ltd, but the old logos are still in use in their variants.[1]
- A light Yaru theme is used by default, and purple accents were reduced.
- The desktop icons are now set to appear on the bottom right by default, just like what was made to the Recycle Bin icon in Windows XP.
