Changes[edit | edit source]

  • GNOME has been updated to version 42, which adds several new features compared to 3.36 in the previous LTS version.
  • This version now features a new Flutter-based installer.
  • This version adds improved support for the Raspberry Pi.
  • UI accent colors can now be changed via Settings.
  • The logo has been changed. This version of said logo was shown on a blog by Canonical Ltd, but the old logos are still in use in their variants.[1]
  • A light Yaru theme is used by default, and purple accents were reduced.
  • The desktop icons are now set to appear on the bottom right by default, just like what was made to the Recycle Bin icon in Windows XP.
