Talk:Windows 10 (original release)

If it is described in BuildFeed then can it be added here? I have seen the new winmain build 9891 is on the site.--Tau Ceti (talk) 09:17, 25 November 2014 (GMT)

Adding the Windows Update builds to the main page[edit source]

I am about to run the Windows:10:Windows Update Builds list over a script that makes BLItems I made for this. You'll probably see that quite a lot of builds have appeared on the page. --12:19, 8 March 2015 (GMT)

I found it interesting that now the codenames are based on video games owned by Microsoft, first Threshold (Halo) and then Redstone (Minecraft), both of which were originally developed independently but then bought by Microsoft. I think this is going to be a new naming system. Tau Ceti (talk) 09:40, 3 September 2015 (BST)

Only confirmed feature of Redstone wave is MS Edge support? The leaked build is out, make up your own mind on what's 'new'. 101.160.131.128 23:49, 25 January 2016 (GMT)

150901-150 means it's compiled in 15:00 but lack of a "0"? --Yue Ling (talk) 04:14, 24 February 2019 (UTC)

Is 9778 notable?[edit source]

I found 9778 in a ESD file listing on BetaWiki - but is it notable? Wabbah (talk) 00:22, 25 August 2021 (UTC)Wabbah

I dont think any of those esd file listing builds are notable MShinoda8768 00:56, 25 August 2021 (UTC)
I probably think they're notable since they were from a ESD file listing from Windows Update (but I think that's a unreliable source). — Preceding unsigned comment added by Wabbah (talkcontribs)

A hidden SKUS[edit source]

It has a some SKU: Professional Single Language, Starter — Preceding unsigned comment added by Egor819795 (talkcontribs)

Regarding accidentally released builds in Jan 2015[edit source]

In January 2015, Microsoft had accidentally leaked some Windows builds through Windows Update (seems like they were all partner stuff maybe). BetaArchive thread on this, the last page has a list of ESDs that released

These builds had apparently made it on to some 5GB CSV of Windows Update links, so with that, I found some links to some "windowsupdatebox.exe" files. Though the builds were removed, apparently their respective "windowsupdatebox.exe" files survived the deletion, even to this day. I've only just discovered this last night.

(I've only checked 9826 (x64, x86), 9828 (x64, x86), and 9833 (x64, x86))

So currently, I'm wondering if this makes them notable enough to put on the list (the ones that aren't already there, anyways). Bluecomb-Qreed2008 (talk) 17:28, 1 March 2023 (UTC)

9839 x64 and x86. Bluecomb-Qreed2008 (talk) 16:49, 5 March 2023 (UTC)
