Windows XP build 2600.1078 is a Service Pack 1 beta build of Windows XP. A partially corrupted copy of this build was found by BetaArchive user marcoguy in 2016,[1] which was labeled as a Windows XP Media Center Edition beta refresh, although it also includes components for other SKUs as well.
Currently available copy[edit | edit source]
The currently available copy comes from a three discs set labeled "Windows XP Media Center Edition Beta Refresh". Despite the label, it also contains Tablet PC specific components, and due to the way the Tablet PC and Media Center editions are implemented, it is also possible to install the plain Professional edition by entering the respective product key.
