Windows Vista build 5492 is a pre-RC1 build of Windows Vista, which was uploaded to BetaArchive on 4 February 2020 by Grabberslasher. Prior to its public upload to BetaArchive, TheVista.ru released 31 screenshots of it on 11 August 2006.[1]

Bugs and quirks[edit | edit source]
Setup[edit | edit source]
The "Repair your computer" text is cut off in setup, instead saying "Repair your".
Graphics driver[edit | edit source]
The default VGA graphics adapter is very buggy, often having the screen flicker through resolutions and not achieving resolutions higher than 800×600 pixels. However, if upgrading from a previous build, 1024×768 and higher resolutions remain being possible.
