New features and changes[edit | edit source]

Voice access[edit | edit source]

The ability to use the touch keyboard with voice access has been added.

Task Manager[edit | edit source]

The column name "Tile updates" in App History tab has been renamed to "Notifications".

Shell[edit | edit source]

  • The focus rectangle in Alt+Tab ↹, task view, and snap assist has been tweaked to match the customized accent color.
  • The updated IMEs and touch keyboard designs has been added to the login screen.
  • The default account picture on several Windows components (e.g. Start menu, login screen, Settings) has been changed to Windows11-10.0.22538.1000-PersonIcon.svg, so as to align with the fluent design aesthetics of Windows 11.
    • However, the old picture is still used on some devices that are upgraded to this build.
  • When the custom mode is used, the background of Alt+Tab ↹, task view, and snap assist will follow the default Windows light/dark mode instead of the default app mode.

Settings[edit | edit source]

  • The "display calibration" section, previously available as a separate Settings page, has been moved to HDR subpage under Display page.
  • The unused "try out your setup" box from Custom Theme subpage under Personalization pages has been removed.

Miscellaneous[edit | edit source]

  • The discoverability of certain input features in various areas across the OS has been improved.
  • The HTTPS boot for Hyper-V Generation 2 virtual machines has been added.

Bugs and quirks[edit | edit source]

Taskbar[edit | edit source]

The feature to show additional buttons in the input switcher, initially introduced in build 22518, has an UI conflict with this build and may be accidentally enabled on some devices, leading the hidden icons flyout button being duplicated and causing the taskbar corner area to collapse in size and align to the top rather than centered.

This feature can be disabled by running the following command with ViveTool from an elevated Command Prompt window: vivetool addconfig 35500835 1

User Account Control[edit | edit source]

The IME candidate window may not show up on a UAC prompt.

Task Manager[edit | edit source]

Task Manager may crash when attempting to access the Performance tab.

  • This bug may be encountered on devices that are upgraded to this build. A clean installation of this build will not be affected.
