Windows Server 2016 build 14259 is a build of Windows Server 2016. This build is currently only available in the Datacenter Core SKU as a install.wim file.
Container image[edit | edit source]
This build's Server Core image has been optimized for use in a container. By default, it does not spawn an interactive session on boot, the Administrator account is password-protected and networking services are disabled compared to regular desktop builds.
Before booting into the build, the number of initial sessions also has to be increased, otherwise the system will be seemingly stuck on the boot screen:[a]
