LND proudly presents yet another fine release. This time we bring you MS
Windows CE Technical Beta II SDK (Codename PEGASUS). Pegasus introduces a
new OS that is super lightweight. The Pegasus OS is a Win32 operating system,
which means you already know how to develop for it.
Pegasus is a companion device that will most likely be used with a Windows95
or Windows NT based desktop machine.
Pegasus is not like every other OS, it has some limitations in its windowing
subsystem, which might scare you at first. The OS is designed for a specific
purpose: hand-held, low memory, small display devices.

INSTALLATION:
-------------
1. Unzip all files to a temp dir and type 'CESDK.EXE' which will uncompress
all files.
2. Run setup.exe from the \wcedev directory. This will install the MS Visual
C++ 4.0 for Windows CE SDK.

Installation[edit | edit source]
The emulator only runs on Windows NT 4.0; launching it on Windows 9x will give an error due to a missing SHELL32.DLL export.
Bugs and quirks[edit | edit source]
This build is pretty incomplete, as the Control Panel, its applets and Help are missing, as well as many icon files, resulting in most applications showing the generic file icon.
