Windows 8.1 build 9491 is a build of Windows 8.1. The Traditional Chinese (Taiwan) x86 variant of this build was found on a Samsung XE700T1A used by Microsoft, although the contents of the SSD containing it was completely irrecoverable, save for the main Windows Explorer executable remaining intact.[1][2] Its Recovery Environment in the aforementioned language was shared by the Chinese website BetaWorld on 5 September 2024.[3]
It is notably the last build of Windows 8.1 to be compiled before the jump to build 9600, which was compiled one day after.
