Windows 8.1 build 9490 is an unleaked build of Windows 8.1. The build was mentioned in a Microsoft Support article titled How to disable the "Test mode" message that is displayed in Windows.[1]

The Traditional Chinese x86 variant of this build was found on a Samsung XE700T1A prototype, although the contents of the SSD containing it was completely irrecoverable,[2] save for a select few leftover binaries that were left intact after an upgrade to build 9491.
According to BetaWorld, this build includes the final set of wallpapers, seen in RTM build.
