Windows 11 build 26120.3863 is a build of Windows 11 2024 Update. It was released to the Windows Insiders in the Beta Channel on 11 April 2025 as the KB5052080 enablement update to build 26100.3863 (KB5055613), along with build 26200.5551. This build was distributed as a checkpoint cumulative update that contains incremental changes since build 26100.1742.

Shell[edit | edit source]

Packaged UWP apps that are pinned to the desktop no longer show an accent colored backplate. This change was previously implemented in build 22635.5160 and has been gradually rolled out.

Settings[edit | edit source]

The ability to customize the lock screen weather widget under PersonalizationLock screen has been added and gradually rolled out. This feature is only available when the new lock screen widgets experience (gradually rolled out in build 26120.3360) is enabled. It can be activated manually by enabling the 56659543 velocity staging key.

Accessibility[edit | edit source]

The ability to generate contextual descriptions of images has been implemented into Narrator. It can be invoked by pressing the Narrator key+Ctrl+D keyboard shortcut. This feature is gradually rolled out to ARM64 devices with Snapdragon X series processors.

Widgets[edit | edit source]

The ability to read content (such as full articles, slideshows, and videos) directly within the MSN feed in the Widgets board has been added and gradually rolled out.

Miscellaneous[edit | edit source]

The ability to find settings using the latent semantic indexing (LSI) in Windows Search has been added and gradually rolled out.

Bugfixes[edit | edit source]

  • Fixed an issue that was causing the Settings app to crahsh when adding an app to filter on under Privacy & securityRecall & snapshots.
  • Fixed an issue that was causing File Explorer's Home page to crash in certain cases.
  • Fixed an issue where the Organize and New Folder options might not be visible in the Save dialog when using dark mode.
  • Fixed an issue that was causing app icons in the taskbar to become unexpectedly oversized after disconnecting from an external display and some other cases.
  • Fixed an issue that was causing touchpad to not working in certain cases in build 26120.3671.
  • Fixed an issue where when using CopyPixels, the pixels may be unexpectedly inverted in certain cases.
  • Fixed an issue that was causing some JPG images to not display correctly.
  • Fixed an issue that was causing Windows Sandbox to not work properly due to failure when downloading and installing updates.

Bugs and quirks[edit | edit source]

General[edit | edit source]

  • Performing a system reset under SystemRecovery in the Settings app may cause the KB5054156 enablement update to be uninstalled unexpectedly, consequently reverting major build number to 26100.
  • Quick Assist may not work for non-administrator users.
  • Windows Recovery Environment may not work properly.
  • Certain apps may appear blank or fail to launch in certain cases.

File Explorer[edit | edit source]

File Explorer may crash when navigating to the Home page.

Start menu[edit | edit source]

The new layout of Start menu (initially implemented in build 26120.3671) may not work for non-administrator users.

Recall[edit | edit source]

Recall may be unable to automatically save snapshots, and the setting may not be turned on in the Settings page.

Click to Do[edit | edit source]

  • Click to Do may fail to launch in certain cases.
  • Images that are used with Click to Do image actions may stuck in user's %LocalAppData%\Temp folder.

Task Manager[edit | edit source]

  • The search and other options such as filtering may not work.
  • The following issues are applicable if the standard metrics for CPU utility calculations (gradually rolled out in build 26120.3360) is enabled:
    • The System Idle Process may always show as 0 after adding the new CPU utility column.
    • The CPU graphs in the Performance page may still use the old CPU utility calculations.
