Windows 11 build 26120.3585 is a build of Windows 11 2024 Update. It was released to the Windows Insiders in the Beta Channel on 24 March 2025 as the KB5052080 enablement update to build 26100.3585 (KB5053644). This build was distributed as a checkpoint cumulative update that contains incremental changes since build 26100.1742.

New features and changes[edit | edit source]

File Explorer[edit | edit source]

Performance improvements for extracting zipped files in File Explorer (particularly when unzipping a large number of small files), initially implemented in build 22635.4945, has been ported to this build and gradually rolled out.

Shell[edit | edit source]

The web sign-in icon on the lock screen has been slightly updated to better align with the other icons.

Settings[edit | edit source]

The "Added features" list in the "View features" dialog (invoked via SystemOptional features in the Settings app) and a new link for switching between added and available feature lists, initially implemented in build 27813, has been backported to this build. These changes are disabled by default, but can be activated manually by enabling the 55049146 velocity staging key.

Bugfixes[edit | edit source]

  • Fixed an issue that was causing serious lag when closing File Explorer using the X button, or clicking on other title bar buttons.
  • Fixed an issue that was causing File Explorer's navigation pane entries to not be aligned correctly in build 26120.3576.
  • Fixed an issue that was causing the 0x80070005 error when reinstalling build 26120.3576 via the "Fix problems using Windows Update" option under SystemRecovery in the Settings app.
  • Fixed an issue that was causing the toggle to get the latest updates as they are available via the Windows Update page to not render correctly and get turned off by itself.

Bugs and quirks[edit | edit source]

General[edit | edit source]

Performing a system reset under SystemRecovery in the Settings app may cause the KB5037898 enablement update to be uninstalled unexpectedly, consequently reverting major build number to 26100.

File Explorer[edit | edit source]

  • File Explorer may crash when navigating to the Home page.
  • Moving or renaming certain files may cause File Explorer to crash in certain cases.

Shell[edit | edit source]

The taskbar icons may not increase in size as they should when using the device in a tablet posture.

Recall[edit | edit source]

Recall may be unable to automatically save snapshots, and the setting may not be turned on in the Settings page.

Settings[edit | edit source]

  • Navigating to the Power & battery page may cause the Settings app to crash in certain cases.
  • Text under Bluetooth & devicesCamerasAdvanced camera options may not load correctly.

Task Manager[edit | edit source]

The following issues are applicable if the standard metrics for CPU utility calculations (gradually rolled out in build 26120.3360) is enabled:

  • The System Idle Process may always show as 0 after adding the new CPU utility column.
  • The CPU graphs in the Performance page may still using the old CPU utility calculations.
