Windows 11 build 26090 is a build of Windows 11 2024 Update. It was released to the Windows Insiders in the Dev and Canary Channels on 28 March 2024.

Widgets[edit | edit source]
The new navigation pane on the Widgets dashboard, previously disabled by default in build 26063, has been re-rolled out to a subset of users.
Miscellaneous[edit | edit source]
The desktop watermark and timebomb have been disabled since this build is production-signed.
Bugfixes[edit | edit source]
- Fixed an issue that was causing video stutters in some apps and possibly impacting FPS in some games in build 26085.
- Fixed an
explorer.exe
crash impacting taskbar reliability. - Fixed an
explorer.exe
crash when dragging windows. - Fixed an underlying issue that was causing the bottom half of secondary monitors to be unusable sometimes.
- Fixed an issue that was causing File Explorer tabs to be missing in certain cases.
- Fixed an issue where Task Manager was holding onto process handles sometimes, leading to processes not stopping when closing apps if users had Task Manager open.
Bugs and quirks[edit | edit source]
General[edit | edit source]
- Shutdown and hibernation may not work correctly on certain devices, thus resulting in logging out and back in.
- Users may unable to perform an in-place upgrade to this build from builds 26040, 23620 or earlier in certain cases.
Shell[edit | edit source]
Text on highlighted items in Microsoft Management Console and some of its snap-ins may have a yellow color.
Copilot[edit | edit source]
- Voice access and Windows Ink may not work reliably if the undocking experience for Copilot is enabled.
- Users may unable to bring focus to the ellipsis or Refresh buttons by using a keyboard if the undocking experience for Copilot is enabled.
- When Copilot is docked and resized to a large width, it may not always fill the width of the panel. Resizing Copilot to less than half of the width of the screen usually fixes this issue.
