New features and changes[edit | edit source]

Settings[edit | edit source]

  • Changes to the Windows Update > Advanced options > Delivery Optimization page, initially implemented in build 25982, have been publicly rolled out.
  • When clicking on the "Set default" button under the Privacy & security > Location page for setting default location, a new "Set Default Location" dialog will appear instead of redirecting to the Maps app.

Miscellaneous[edit | edit source]

  • Support for viewing and editing metadata in PNG files has been implemented.
  • The Windows Maps and Microsoft Movies & TV apps will not be installed by default after doing a clean install, although they will not be removed when upgrading from earlier builds.

Bugfixes[edit | edit source]

Fixed an issue that was causing File Explorer to crash in Windows Sandbox when using a non-English display language.

Bugs and quirks[edit | edit source]

  • Some popular games may not work correctly.
  • Blank options may show on the Personalization and Privacy & security pages in the Settings app. Clicking on them may crash the Settings app with the 0xc000027b exception code.
  • Text on highlighted items in Microsoft Management Console and some of its snap-ins may have a yellow color.
  • The system may get stuck at the boot screen when booting into Safe mode.
