Windows 11 build 25982 is a build of Windows 11 2024 Update. It was released to Windows Insiders in the Canary Channel on 25 October 2023.

Copilot[edit | edit source]
Copilot, previously available in build 25905, has been publicly rolled out to a subset of users.
Settings[edit | edit source]
- When Windows is set to light mode, an information bullet will appear under Personalization > Colors to inform that the "Show accent color on Start and taskbar" toggle is only available in dark mode.
- The Advanced options and Activity monitor sub-pages under Windows Update > Advanced options > Delivery Optimization have been moved to their parent page as collapsed sections. This change can only be accessed by typing "Delivery Optimization Settings" in the search box. It's also only available to a subset of users, but can be activated by enabling the
33235889velocity staging key.
Miscellaneous[edit | edit source]
- The native support of ReFS block cloning feature has been implemented into copy actions and APIs on Windows.
- Remote Desktop Connection has been updated to support zoom options of 350, 400, 450, and 500%.
- Support for requiring encryption of all outbound SMB client connections has been implemented.[1]
- Client-side support of Discovery of Network-designated Resolvers (DNR) standard has been implemented.[2] To enable DNR on the device, apply the following registry entry and then reboot the device:

Bugfixes[edit | edit source]
- Fixed an issue that was causing voice access to crash when dictating text.
- Fixed a few issues that was causing hangs when launching File Explorer.
- Fixed an issue that was causing the print queue to be inaccessible.
Bugs and quirks[edit | edit source]
- Adjusting screen brightness may not work on some laptops.
- Some popular games may not work correctly.
- Text on highlighted items in Microsoft Management Console and some of its snap-ins may have a yellow color.
- The system may get stuck at the boot screen when booting into Safe mode.
