Windows 11 build 25947 is a build of Windows 11 2024 Update. It was released to Windows Insiders in the Canary Channel on 7 September 2023.

New features and changes[edit | edit source]

The performance when switching between different pages in Task Manager has been improved.

Fixed the issue that was causing an unexpected pop up "Select an app to open this 'ms-screenclip' link" after the latest Snipping Tool app update.
Fixed a high hitting ctfmon.exe crash impacting the ability to type.
Fixed a few issues impacting explorer.exe reliability, including fixing an issue that was causing File Explorer to crash when navigating to the Gallery page.
Fixed an issue that was causing explorer.exe to throw an Unknown Hard Error error and get stuck in a crash loop when logging in to Safe mode, due to the 0xc0000005 (ACCESS_VIOLATION) exception with faulting module HolographicExtensions.dll.

Adjusting screen brightness may not work on some laptops.
The icons on the desktop may appear blank in certain cases. Refreshing the desktop would resolve this issue.
Certain popular games may not work correctly.
Text on highlighted items in Microsoft Management Console and some of its snap-ins may have a yellow color.
