Windows 11 build 25330 is the sixteenth Insider Preview and the fifteenth available client build of Zinc, the 23H2 development semester of Windows as a service. It was released to Windows Insiders in the Canary Channel on 30 March 2023, along with build 23424.

File Explorer[edit | edit source]
The redesigned, XAML-based Home page in Windows App SDK-based File Explorer, initially implemented in build 23419, has been added. This feature is disabled by default, but can be toggled on manually by enabling the 38664959

velocity IDs.
Settings[edit | edit source]
- A new option has been added under System > Multitasking to show 20 most recent tabs from apps when snapping or pressing Alt+Tab ↹.
- The Bluetooth & devices > Wheel page has been updated to align with the design aesthetics of Windows 11.
- Windows Sandbox will follow the setting if users have changed the primary mouse button under Bluetooth & devices > Mouse.
Miscellaneous[edit | edit source]
- The ability to open Snipping Tool by pressing PrtScn has been added (toggleable via Accessibility > Keyboard in the Settings app.)
- The Remote Desktop Connection setup window (
mstsc.exe
) has been updated to follows the text scaling settings under Accessibility > Text Size in the Settings app. - The BitLocker encryption progress dialog can now be minimized.
- The Camera app can now be uninstalled manually.
- The desktop icon for Windows Spotlight has been updated.
- The
systeminfo
command has been updated to display the machine's virtualization-based security specification.
Bugs and quirks[edit | edit source]
General[edit | edit source]
- The system may take longer than expected to upgrade to this build in certain cases.
- The "Getting ready for you" screens may appear for Azure Active Directory joined users when signing into Windows after upgrading to this build.
- The screen may appear black for several minutes when upgrading to this build.
- Windows Sandbox may fail to launch in certain cases.
- Users may fail to shut down Windows when certain USB controllers are connected.
File Explorer[edit | edit source]
- The access keys in the XAML context menu may appear inconsistently if no button is pressed. Pressing a button will cause them to reappear.
- Clicking on the Share command may bring up the Windows share sheet (non-OneDrive) when the file recommendations feature is enabled.
Taskbar[edit | edit source]
Users may see the daily rotating search highlight for some time before getting the new Bing button back to the search box on the taskbar.
Settings[edit | edit source]
- When adding a language via the Language & Region page, the installation progress may become hidden, and users may not see install completion for enhanced speech recognition.
- The Language & Region page may not offer the necessary speech recognition language support for live captions for up to an hour after first login.

- The enhanced speech recognition support may not be installed correctly through the Language & Region page in the Settings app on ARM64 devices.
- Captioning performance may be degraded in non-English languages and missing out-of-language filtering in non-English (United States) languages.
Safe mode[edit | edit source]
- Quick Settings and date/time clock on the taskbar may be missing due to the
Capability Access Manager Service
service not running. - Clicking Bluetooth & devices and Personalization pages may crash the Settings app due to an overrun of a stack-based buffer
