User interface[edit | edit source]

  • Taskbar jump lists have been updated to match the design of other flyouts.
  • The ⊞ Win+C keyboard shortcut can now be used to initiate Cortana.

Icons[edit | edit source]

This build introduces many icon changes throughout the system.

  • File Explorer and Control Panel received new icons, but weren't finalized until builds 10138 and 10154 respectively.
  • Many icons within File Explorer (folders, drives, ribbon items, etc.) were finalized.
  • Administrative Tools, File Explorer Options, Homegroup, Recovery, Sync Center, and System applets within Control Panel received their final icons.

Microsoft Edge[edit | edit source]

The ability to pin/unpin panes (ex: reading list) has been added to Microsoft Edge.

Settings and Control Panel[edit | edit source]

  • Windows Hello sign-in options have been added to Settings.
  • The Start Menu section in Taskbar Properties has been removed.
  • The Notification Area Icons applet was removed from Control Panel. However, it can still be accessed by using the following command: explorer.exe shell:::{05d7b0f4-2121-4eff-bf6b-ed3f69b894d9}
