The Windows 1.0 PC Mag 1985-08-20 build is a pre-release build of Windows 1.0 shown in the 20 August 1985 issue of PC Mag.[1] Windows Write is also shown in the photos, even though it was not included with the May Beta nor the Premiere Edition.
The Calendar application has been redesigned since the Beta, and the system date displayed there is 27 June 1985, so assuming the photos were taken that day, this build would predate the Premiere Edition by at least a month. Various UI details in the Control Panel application also suggest it was made between the Beta release from May and PE from July.
