Regarding Active Desktop

Active Desktop acts as a popup-like window provided by Internet Explorer to draw the wallpaper, thus making the illusion of absence of a watermark. 185.210.141.172 09:32, 3 May 2021 (UTC)

1. Configure 86Box and create a VM. Recommended are Super Socket 7, Slot 1 or Socket 370.
2. Set the processor to Mobile Pentium MMX, AMD K6-2 or K6-III, Pentium II or Celeron at 300 MHz. 128 MB RAM.
3. Display - Primary: S3 ViRGE/GX (385), Secondary: Cirrus Logic 5446 PCI.
4. PS/2 Mouse, Sound Blaster AWE64 Gold, IDE (0:0) 2 GB drive, ATAPI (0:1) CD-ROM drive (60x speed).
5. Configure BIOS, install Windows 98 or Me and then apply the registry key for the watermark and reboot. If the ISO is not bootable, add an 1.44 MB floppy drive, boot into a DOS/Windows 9x bootdisk and partition and format the hard drive.
