Mac OS X Snow Leopard build 10A190 is an ADC (Apple Dev Center) developer preview build of Mac OS X Snow Leopard. It is the last build of the macOS series that is able to boot on Macs with a PowerPC CPU.[1]
Changes[edit | edit source]
- More libraries and components have been compiled exclusively for Intel machines, allowing for a smaller footprint.
- The input issue on high-end Intel machines from 10A96 has been fixed.
- Some of the applications have been updated to later versions, but all are universal binaries.
- Address Book 5.0 has been finalized, though the old 4.2 version from Leopard is still present (renamed to "Address Book (Leopard)".
- iDisk now has a pink icon in Finder windows. This would be changed in later builds.
Bugs and quirks[edit | edit source]
- Due to the jettisoning of large parts of PowerPC components, this build is less stable on PowerPC machines compared to 10A96; though they can still boot into the desktop.
- On external volumes, when displaying icons the Finder window glitches out near the top.
