Continuum (codenamed Reach) is a feature of Windows 10 Mobile that allows select devices to provide a desktop-like user experience when connected to an external monitor and peripherals. The desktop interface includes a conventional taskbar with a Start menu, and can run multiple apps in separate, overlapping windows. Universal Windows Platform applications can also present a desktop interface when running under Continuum. The feature supports both wired operation by connecting the device to a USB dock, and wireless operation by connecting to a Miracast-compatible display or hub via Wi-Fi.

It was first included with Windows 10 Mobile November Update, although the earliest build to currently include it is build 9857.

The Continuum package itself is named MS_DOCKING, and is preinstalled in the Full Flash Update (FFU) images on the Lumia 950 and the HP Elite X3 series of phones. Continuum is activated when connected to an external monitor with an accessory such as the Microsoft Display Dock or with the Miracast protocol.
