Windows XP build 2600.2096 is the official Service Pack 2 RC1 build of Windows XP, which was released on 19 March 2004.^[1] It includes enhancements to the Windows Firewall due to the Security Center. The Simplified Chinese variant of this build was shared by the Chinese website BetaWorld on 15 August 2024.^[2] The German variant of this build was uploaded to Internet Archive on 24 August 2024 as a Service Pack installer.^[3]

The option to skip creating an uninstall directory has been disabled, as "Do Not Archive Files" is grayed out. It would be removed in a later build.
If the processor supports PAE, an additional line "Physical Address Extension" is added beneath the processor specifications in System Properties.
