Windows XP build 2517 is a pre-RC 2 build of Windows XP.
Changes[edit | edit source]
- Like build 2531, Setup now uses Arial instead of Tahoma.
- During startup of text-mode setup, the title now reads "Windows Setup".
- "Version 2002" is no longer shown on the screen before the out-of-box experience.
- After the first restart during the upgrade setup, it shows a Windows boot screen with the gray loading bar, just like Windows Server 2003 build 2493 did.
