Windows XP build 2499 is a build of Windows XP. This build is similar to build 2498, but it has three corrupted files, making installation impossible without modification. By using files from build 2498, this build can be installed.

Corrupted files[edit | edit source]
The user32.dll, userenv.dll, and oembios.bin files are corrupt, either replace these files in the installation media with the ones from build 2498 or after TXT setup, boot to a boot disk and copy these files from build 2498 onto C:\WINDOWS\System32. Alternatively, you can upgrade from build 2498 and choose to skip said files when upgrading.
