Windows XP build 2499 is a build of Windows XP. This build is similar to build 2498, but it has three corrupted files, making installation impossible without modification. By using files from build 2498, this build can be installed on the current date since it is compiled in evaluation mode.

Corrupted files[edit | edit source]
oembios.bin files are corrupted, either replace these files in the installation media with the ones from build 2498 or after TXT setup, boot to a boot disk and copy these files from build 2498 onto
C:\WINDOWS\System32. Alternatively, you can upgrade from build 2498 and choose to skip said files when upgrading.
