Windows Vista build 5054 is a pre-Beta 1 build of Windows Vista, which was demonstrated at WinHEC 2005 to demonstrate the new speech recognition capabilities of Windows Vista. The new capabilities include improved accessibility, new mobility scenarios, and improvements to the speech user experience. Only one image of this build has been shown. It changes the wallpaper to the one used in builds 5098 to 5231, with a Longhorn logo which was used until build 5061.
Leftovers[edit | edit source]
Since Windows Vista, the newdev.dll
file bears the NT version and build number of this build (6.0.5054). This minority isn't changed and preserved in future versions of Windows.
