Windows NT 3.5 build 756 is the official Release Candidate 1 build of Windows NT 3.5. An English-language DEC Alpha architecture version of this build was uploaded to BetaArchive by user qazmko1029 on 30 August 2020.[1]
Japanese version[edit | edit source]
The Japanese version of this build containing the x86, DEC Alpha, MIPS and PC-98 architectures was included with the December 1994 issue of Windows World magazine (as "Daytona Trial Program")[2] and was dumped by ReflectiaX on 20 December 2020.[3]
The CD text claims that this version of the build expires on 31 January 1995, but when the build is installed past the aforementioned date, a message will appear to ask the user to obtain a retail copy of Windows NT 3.5. Despite that, it is still usable.
Changes[edit | edit source]
WINNT.BMP
has been updated to show the Windows flag natively again. Also, the bitmap is now in landscape instead of portrait format.
Setup[edit | edit source]
- This build removes the file system warning for Windows NT 3.5 beta users seen in builds 612 and 683.
- The disk examination during text-mode setup can now be skipped, if the user wants to.
Bugs[edit | edit source]
Corrupt files[edit | edit source]
The files T1INSTALL.DL_
and SYSTEM._
are corrupted in the English-language DEC Alpha version.
