Japanese version[edit | edit source]
The Japanese version of this build containing the x86 (IBM PC/AT and NEC PC-98), DEC Alpha, and MIPS architectures was included with the December 1994 issue of Windows World magazine (as "Daytona Trial Program")[3] and was dumped by ReflectiaX on 20 December 2020.[4]
The CD text claims that this version of the build expires on 31 January 1995, but when the build is installed past the aforementioned date, a message will appear to ask the user to obtain a retail copy of Windows NT 3.5. Despite that, it is still usable.

A kernel thread terminated while holding a mutex
(0x4000008A
, later renamedTHREAD_TERMINATE_HELD_MUTEX
)- This unusual STOP code value seems to likely be a result of a typo (likely from copy and pasting) resulting in the bugcheck being considered a message, akin to those present at the boot screen. As a result, most modern documentation lists STOP
0x8A
as invalid, despite the intended value being the aforementioned STOP code.
