Windows Media Player 5.2 is a version of Windows Media Player. It is technically NetShow Player 3.5, as it was developed upon it. While a final build was released for Windows 95 and Windows NT 4.0, only a beta build was released for Windows 3.1x, with support for it being dropped in the final release. Installing on Windows 3.1x requires the TCP/IP protocol to be installed first, otherwise it will crash due to WINSOCK.DLL being missing. It will also install the Video for Windows runtime and additional codecs.
