Windows Longhorn build 4030 (Lab06_n.030702-1727) is a Milestone 6 build of Windows Longhorn. On 23 January 2020, this build was listed on a thread by UX.Unleaked blog founder Grabberslasher to be released to BetaArchive's FTP server, and was released in the tenth set of his 33 Longhorn/Vista builds on 2 February 2020[1].
New features and changes[edit | edit source]
Longhorn Help Place[edit | edit source]
The Longhorn Help Place is now functional. Once opened, the help place welcomes the user, and asks them on how they can help them.
From that point, the user can search for answers (which actually just opens a search window with the inputted content), or view the latest vulnerability patches. A very low quality Windows XP flag is also present in the header.
Bugs and quirks[edit | edit source]
General[edit | edit source]
The Sidebar is minimized on first boot.
Desktop Compositing Engine[edit | edit source]
While the Desktop Compositing Engine functions correctly, Direct3D shaders are not enabled due to a bug. As the DCE window frames rely on these shaders to function, it is not possible to enable them in this build.
Autorun[edit | edit source]
Under some circumstances, the Autorun program may display the incorrect text.
