Windows Live Mail (codenamed Elroy[1]) is an e-mail client by Microsoft. It is the successor to Windows Mail, which came bundled with Windows Vista. It was discontinued on 10 January 2017, and thus is no longer available for download on Microsoft's website, though it can still be downloaded on the Internet. It is designed to run on Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2.
It was released in four versions, as part of Windows Live Essentials 2008, 2009 and 2011 as well as Windows Essentials 2012.
