Windows 98 SE build 2170A is a late build of Windows 98 Second Edition, which was scene leaked by warez group PFT on 27 March 1999 and was later shared on BetaArchive on 19 January 2019.[1] The original upload had two CAB files (WIN98_44.CAB and WIN98_77.CAB) that were corrupted, but they were recovered shortly after.
It is also included on a warez CD named SOS Technologies 499.[2]

- "Second Edition" branding has been added to System Properties.
- The desktop shortcut to the "Windows 98 Service Release Beta 2 Release Notes" has been removed.
- This is the first build to have a out-of-box experience. It features a similar appearance to the RTM counterpart, but with different branding. The product key section, however, cannot be skipped, as entering the key of this build, an RTM key, or pressing the Skip button will cause it to report that the product key entered is invalid, with the only option to shutdown the computer.
