Windows 95 build 31 is an unconfirmed build of Windows 95. Two screenshots were posted on BetaArchive by user Lucas Brooks,[1] but it remains unclear whether they are authentic or not.

Notes[edit | edit source]

Start buttons[edit | edit source]

The Help button is similar to the one in the Usability Testing Builds and different from the build 34 screenshots, while the other two buttons appear to be the same in all three cases.

Taskbar[edit | edit source]

There is no system time displayed in the taskbar, the Windows 95 Usability Testing Builds lacked this feature as well.

User information[edit | edit source]

The user name used during installation is Chicago Usability Testers, and the company name is Microsoft Corp. Build 58s does not support entering the user and company information during setup yet, though earlier builds that used a rebranded Windows 3.1x-like setup probably did. This could also mean that this is one of the usability testing builds, although this cannot be proven and isn't likely.
