Windows 8 build 8186 (winmain) is a build of Windows 8. Three screenshots of this build were released as part of a Q&A blog post documenting the DaRT 8 Beta toolsets on the official Windows Blog.[1] It is the earliest known build to remove the Start button on the taskbar, which had been present since Windows 95, and contain the newer wallpaper set.
This build refers to itself as its predecessor as the branding for most editions had not yet been updated to correctly reflect the next release of Windows, much like those present in the repair content source packages for build 8250.
