Windows 8 build 7970 is a build of Windows 8. A partially broken WIM image dump containing the build's Preinstallation Environment in the ARMv7 architecture was originally uploaded to the Internet Archive on 31 March 2024,[1] and was subsequently replaced by a fixed version (with a matching user-mode kernel library) the following day.
It is currently the earliest available build of Windows to be compiled for the ARMv7 architecture. The build contains hardware abstraction layer extensions for the NVIDIA Tegra 2 and the Texas Instruments OMAP4 SoC lines.
