Windows 8 build 7753 is a Milestone 1 build of Windows 8. According to the readme file included with the package of build 7746, this build was released to graphics device manufacturers in May 2010. It was later shared on 13 October 2024. This is currently the last available build to include the Harmony wallpaper from Windows 7.
New features and changes[edit | edit source]
Windows Runtime[edit | edit source]
The beginnings of the Windows Runtime, such as the HSTRING type, an API resolver for the Windows Runtime, class activation and deactivation, and a class cache that matches CoClassIds to actual APIs, have been added to the ole32.dll binary. However, it is likely that there were no actual user-facing Windows Runtime APIs at this point.
