Windows 8.1 build 9468 is a RTM escrow build of Windows 8.1. It was uploaded to the Chinese website BetaWorld on 16 October 2019,[1] and then publicly shared on 17 November 2022,[2] along with the Pan-European release of Windows 98 build 1577, Windows Server 2008 build 6001.16637, and Windows 8 build 9200.16456. It is only available for the ARM32 architecture.
Changes[edit | edit source]
The boot screen has been reverted to the Windows logo. As this build originates from a public release branch, it utilizes production signing and can therefore be booted on the current date; although the Kernel-ExpirationDate
value has not yet been removed from product policies and will therefore require the user to install the build within an appropriate time range.
Bugs[edit | edit source]
- The included copy of Office 2013 build 4505.1012 lacks the necessary MSI binary cache (stored in the
MSOCache
directory) and will therefore fail to start. - Application names may not be positioned correctly on pinned start screen tiles, particularly in small sizes.
