Windows 7 build 7600.16384 is an RTM Escrow build of Windows 7 that was shared on 13 July 2009[1] and removed both the watermark and the timebomb. It is an earlier compile of the official RTM build. The Simplified Chinese version ISO file in the x86 architecture was uploaded to the BetaArchive FTP on 15 March 2013, and the WIM file for the x64 architecture in the same language was uploaded to the BetaArchive FTP on 8 November 2014.
Bugs and quirks[edit | edit source]
Internet Explorer[edit | edit source]
Despite being identical to the RTM, this build contains a bug in Internet Explorer 8 that caused security issues, thus preventing it from being the RTM build. This caused build 7600.16385 to become the RTM build, as it patches the said bug.
