Miscellaneous[edit | edit source]
Windows Protected Print Mode has been implemented. It builds on the existing Internet Printing Protocol (IPP) print stack where only Mopria certified printers are supported and disables the ability to load third-party drivers in order to mitigate security vulnerabilities. This feature can be toggled via the "Configure Windows protected print" policy setting under Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > Printers in Group Policy Editor.

- Fixed an issue that was causing keyboard shortcuts on desktop to be broken in builds 26002 and 26010.
- Fixed an underlying issue that was causing the details pane in File Explorer to unexpectedly take keyboard focus sometimes.

Settings[edit | edit source]
- The Settings app may crash upon launch in certain cases. To work around this issue, complete the following steps:[1]
- Download PSTools and then extract
PsExec64.exe
. - Open an elevated Command Prompt window, navigate to where
PsExec64.exe
was located and execute:PsExec64.exe /s powershell.exe
. After that, a PowerShell window should open. - In the PowerShell window, execute the following command:
Add-AppxPackage -RegisterByFamilyName -MainPackage Windows.ImmersiveControlPanel_cw5n1h2txyewy -ForceApplicationShutdown
- Navigating to System > Power may crash the Settings app. Use
powercfg
command-line utility as a workaround.

- Announcements from the Microsoft Start feed may still be shown on the taskbar after the feed is hidden.
