New features and changes[edit | edit source]

Shell[edit | edit source]

  • The Share flyout will only show apps under "Share using" that are tied to the account users are signed into Windows with.
  • Microsoft Teams (Work or School) contacts will show in the Share flyout if users signed in with a Microsoft Entra ID.

Settings[edit | edit source]

The Phone Link subpage under the Bluetooth & devices has been renamed to Mobile devices along with a new "Allow this PC to access your mobile devices" toggle switch, where clicking on it will open a placeholder dialog. These changes are disabled by default, but can be activated by enabling the 46619780 velocity staging key.

Narrator[edit | edit source]

  • The ability to navigate forward or backwards between images in Scan mode by pressing G or ⇧ Shift+G has been added.
  • The recognition of text in images (including handwriting) and the overall image descriptions have been improved.
  • Narrator will announce the presence of a draft comment, a resolved comment, a bookmark, or the availability of accessibility suggestions when reading text in the document in Microsoft Word.

Miscellaneous[edit | edit source]

  • Steps Recorder (PSR.exe) is deprecated and will display a new banner notification to guide users towards alternative options when upgrading to this build.

When first launching or after refreshing Copilot while using Voice access, users may need to use "Show grid" commands to click in the "Ask me anything" box for the first time.

Safe mode[edit | edit source]

  • Quick Settings and date/time clock on the taskbar may be missing due to the Capability Access Manager Service service not running.
