New features and changes[edit | edit source]

Shell[edit | edit source]

The ability to show the Copilot button next to the notification bell icon has been implemented. This feature is disabled by default, but can be activated manually by enabling the 46874360 velocity staging key.

Miscellaneous[edit | edit source]

The Camera, Cortana, Photos, and People apps, as well as Remote Desktop client can be uninstalled manually.

Bugfixes[edit | edit source]

  • Fixed a few issues that were leading to explorer.exe crashes.
  • Fixed an issue that was causing the context menu to draw off screen when invoked using touch or pen on the side of the desktop.
  • Fixed the issue that was causing the old Chat button (deprecated since build 23481) to show up again on the taskbar after doing a clean install or upgrading.

Bugs and quirks[edit | edit source]

Copilot[edit | edit source]

When first launching or after refreshing Copilot while using Voice access, users may need to use "Show grid" commands to click in the "Ask me anything" box for the first time.

Safe mode[edit | edit source]

  • Quick Settings and date/time clock on the taskbar may be missing due to the Capability Access Manager Service service not running.
  • Clicking Bluetooth & devices and Personalization pages may crash the Settings app due to an overrun of a stack-based buffer 0xc0000409.
