New features and changes[edit | edit source]

Shell[edit | edit source]

  • Clicking on the search highlight gleam in the search box on the taskbar will open a Bing page in Microsoft Edge for the search highlight, and a tooltip will always be shown for the search highlight gleam when hovering over the search box. These changes can be activated manully by enabling the 46111200 velocity staging key.
  • The ability to show Microsoft Teams (work or school) contacts and to send files to them directly within the built-in Share window when signing in with an Entra ID (AAD) account has been added.
  • The ability to group recently added items into one "Recently added" folder under Start menu's Recommended section has been implemented. This feature is disabled by default, but can be activated manully by enabling the 39146010, 44470355 and 46045587 velocity staging keys.

Settings[edit | edit source]

The Rename link under System > Nearby sharing has been replaced with a button, and clicking on it will open a dialog for quickly renaming the device for identifing sharing to and from with nearby share, rather than redirecting to System > About. This feature can be activated manually by enabling the 44209225 velocity staging key.

Bugs and quirks[edit | edit source]

Shell[edit | edit source]

Some non-system apps under Start menu's All Apps section, such as PWA apps installed via Microsoft Edge, may be labeled as system apps incorrectly.

Windows Copilot[edit | edit source]

  • When pressing Alt+Tab ↹ to switch out of Windows Copilot, users may not switch back into it.
  • When first launching or after refreshing Windows Copilot while using Voice access, users may need to use "Show grid" commands to click in the "Ask me anything" box for the first time.

Safe mode[edit | edit source]

  • Quick Settings and date/time clock on the taskbar may be missing due to the Capability Access Manager Service service not running.
  • Clicking Bluetooth & devices and Personalization pages may crash the Settings app due to an overrun of a stack-based buffer 0xc0000409.
