The invocation logic has been updated to be less likely to accidentally open Widgets when brushing the mouse quickly across the Widgets entry point on the taskbar.

Bugs and quirks[edit | edit source]

File Explorer[edit | edit source]

  • The access keys in the XAML context menu may appear inconsistently if no button is pressed. Pressing a button will cause them to reappear.
  • Clicking on the Share command may bring up the Windows share sheet (non-OneDrive) when the file recommendations feature is enabled.
  • The following issues will only apply if the Gallery page is enabled:
    • The page may require clicking twice on the node in the navigation pane for initial load.
    • Users may experience thumbnail loading performance for dehydrated cloud files and memory usage in large collections.
    • Photos from OneDrive for Business currently must be hydrated to work properly.
    • Some file types (e.g., .HEIC) may not be rendered correctly or performantly.

Settings[edit | edit source]

Certain languages shown on the Language & Region page may indicate speech recognition support but don't yet have support for live captions.

Live captions[edit | edit source]

Captioning performance may be degraded in non-English languages and missing out-of-language filtering in non-English (United States) languages.

Safe mode[edit | edit source]

  • Quick Settings and date/time clock on the taskbar may be missing due to the Capability Access Manager Service service not running.
  • Clicking Bluetooth & devices and Personalization pages may crash the Settings app due to an overrun of a stack-based buffer 0xc0000409.
