Bugfixes[edit | edit source]
- Fixed an underlying issue that was causing an increase in
explorer.exe
crashes. - Fixed an issue where text input features like touch keyboard, voice typing, and emoji panel might not launch.
- Fixed an issue where the buttons in the Microsoft Pinyin IME's settings flyout were hard to see when they had focus if a contrast theme was enabled.
- Fixed an issue that was impacting Task Manager reliability.
- Fixed an issue that was causing the search box in Task Manager to be cropped at the top when the window is maximized.
- Fixed an issue where in Quick Settings, Narrator was reading out the previous page's title instead of the active page's.
- Fixed an issue that was causing the Get started window to not open incorrectly after downloading voice access.
- Fixed an issue where popups for voice access weren't translated correctly.
Bugs and quirks[edit | edit source]
File Explorer[edit | edit source]
- The access keys in the XAML context menu may appear inconsistently if no button is pressed. Pressing a button will cause them to reappear.
- Clicking on the Share command may bring up the Windows share sheet (non-OneDrive) when the file recommendations feature is enabled.
Shell[edit | edit source]
- Right-clicking a file or folder while pressing ⇧ Shift may not open the legacy context menu in certain cases.
- Users may see the daily rotating search highlight for some time before getting the new Bing button back to the search box on the taskbar.
Settings[edit | edit source]
- When adding a language via the Language & Region page, the installation progress may become hidden, and users may not see install completion for enhanced speech recognition.
- The Language & Region page may not offer the necessary speech recognition language support for live captions for up to an hour after first login.
[edit | edit source]
- The enhanced speech recognition support may not be installed correctly through the Language & Region page in the Settings app on ARM64 devices.
- Captioning performance may be degraded in non-English languages and missing out-of-language filtering in non-English (United States) languages.
Safe mode[edit | edit source]
- Quick Settings and date/time clock on the taskbar may be missing due to the
Capability Access Manager Service
service not running. - Clicking Bluetooth & devices and Personalization pages may crash the Settings app due to an overrun of a stack-based buffer
