New features and changes[edit | edit source]
Settings[edit | edit source]
The Home page is now accessible on managed commercial devices with Education, Enterprise and IoT Enterprise SKUs. The page is disabled by default, but can be activated manually by enabling the 53281237
velocity staging key.
Miscellaneous[edit | edit source]
Windows Search now runs IFilters in the Less Privileged AppContainer (LPAC) sandbox, which prevents IFilters from accessing resources beyond its rights. This model helps to minimize the potential damage that can be caused by a compromised process by limiting its access to sensitive system components and data.
Bugfixes[edit | edit source]
- Fixed a high hitting
explorer.exe
crash. - Fixed an issue that was causing the items in File Explorer's navigation pane to become very spread out (with unexpected padding between each item).
Bugs and quirks[edit | edit source]
- An unexpected amount of spacing between items may appear in Start menu's All list.
- Live captions may fail to lanuch with the
0xc0000409
exception.
