New features[edit | edit source]

Widgets[edit | edit source]

  • The animated Widgets entry point on the taskbar, initially introduced in build 25324, has been backported to this build.

Task Manager[edit | edit source]

The performance of the expand all / collapse all View options on the Processes page has been improved.

Bugfixes[edit | edit source]

  • Fixed an issue where right-clicking a file or folder while pressing ⇧ Shift won't open the legacy context menu in certain cases.
  • Fixed an issue where the touch keyboard and PIN entry wasn't appearing on the login screen for touch capable devices due to an underlying crash.
  • Fixed an issue that was causing clipping in live captions text for non-English languages.
  • Fixed an issue when adding a language via the Language & Region page in the Settings app, the installation progress will become hidden, and users won't see install completion for enhanced speech recognition.
  • Fixed an issue where 2FA codes weren't being recognized if they were in parentheses.
  • Fixed an issue where searching for service host in the Task Manager's Processes section wasn't returning any results.
  • Fixed an issue where the search icon could end up overlapping the Task Manager icon in the title bar.
  • Fixed an issue that was causing the Task Manager's search box to be cropped at the top when the window is maximized.
  • Fixed an issue impacting Task Manager reliability.
  • Fixed an issue where double-clicking Task Manager's title bar to maximize the window won't work properly.

Bugs and quirks[edit | edit source]

  • Users may see the daily rotating search highlight for some time before getting the new Bing button back to the search box on the taskbar.
  • When launching the Widgets board for the first time, some momentarily placeholders of the widgets/feed cards of the old 2-column layout may be displayed even if the device supports 3-columns.
