Windows 11 build 22623.1037 is a build of Windows 11 2022 Update. It was released to a subset of Windows Insiders in the Beta Channel on 15 December 2022 as the KB5018863 enablement update to build 22621.1037 (KB5021304) for new features included, which may not be enabled by default and instead be rolled out.
New features and changes[edit | edit source]
Voice access[edit | edit source]
The Voice access has been improved to support the following features:
- The support of interacting with UI controls having different names.
- The support of scrolling to the extreme left and right ends of a page horizontally.
- The support for UI controls, such as spin controls, thumb control and split buttons.
- The support of several new commands.
Shell[edit | edit source]
The larger corner radius of the search box on the taskbar and the Start menu (when typing), initially introduced in build 25267, has been implemented.
Miscellaneous[edit | edit source]
The screen reader has been updated to exclude the words "system state" when setting focus to each of the Quick Settings icons on the taskbar.
Bugfixes[edit | edit source]
- Fixed a few more
explorer.exe
crashes relating to recent taskbar changes. - Fixed an issue that was causing Task Manager to become unresponsive when using the search box at the top of Task Manager.
- Fixed an issue that was causing Task Manager to not display light and dark content correctly with unreadable text when the "Choose your mode" option under Personalization > Colors in the Settings app is set to Custom.
- Fixed an issue that was causing the VPN and other 802.1x certificate-based authentication to fail due to a failure of DPAPI decryption of a certificate private key.
Bugs and quirks[edit | edit source]
Shell[edit | edit source]
- On some locales, the default font used in several UI elements (such as the date and time on the taskbar) may change to regular Segoe UI instead of Segoe UI Variable.
- The search box on the taskbar may not render correctly and display visual artifacts.
Task Manager[edit | edit source]
- Filtering by publisher name may not match correctly on the Processes page.
- Some services may not show in the Services page after filtering is applied.
- If a new process is starting while a filter is set, then that process may appear for a split second in the filtered list.
- Some dialogs may not render in the correct theme when applied from the Settings page.
- The data content area of the Processes page may flash once when theme changes are applied in the Settings page.
