Windows 10 build 19645 (mn_release) is the twenty-second Insider Preview build of Manganese, the 20H2 development semester of Windows as a service. It was released to Windows Insiders in the Fast Ring on 10 June 2020 as the final build from this semester, since the next build moved builds on the then-renamed Dev Channel to the Iron semester.
Changes[edit | edit source]
- Changed the servicing model for WSL2 distros. As a result of this change, the Linux kernel was removed from the Windows image. From this build onwards, it is now serviced via Windows Update in a similar matter to how third-party drivers like graphics and touchpad devices are installed and updated.
- Added support for nested virtualization on AMD processors.
Bugs and quirks[edit | edit source]
- The update process to this build has a chance of hanging for extended periods of time.
- Both the documents and downloads sections in the privacy settings have broken icons, and as such, rectangles show up where the icons are intended to be instead.
