Windows 10 build 19628 is the eighteenth Insider Preview build of Manganese, the 20H2 development semester of Windows as a service. This build was released to Windows Insiders in the Fast Ring on 13 May 2020 as the first from the mn_release

Changes[edit | edit source]
- Initial support for DNS over HTTPS has been added, which allows encryption use when Windows makes DNS queries. However, it is turned off by default. In order to enable it, the following must be done:
- Open Registry Editor.
- Navigate to the
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Dnscache\Parameters
registry key. - When in the registry key mentioned above, create a new DWORD value named
EnableAutoDoh
. - Once the DWORD entry is created, set its value to
2
. - Restart the system.
- The updated Korean IME introduced in May 2020 Update build 18941 has been reverted to the previous version for the second time. It was reintroduced in Iron build 20150.
Bugs[edit | edit source]
- The update process to this build has a chance of hanging for extended periods of time.
- Both the documents and downloads sections in the privacy settings have broken icons, and as such, rectangles show up where the icons are intended to be instead.
- If updating to this build from an older one, the IIS configuration will be reverted back to their default values. The IIS configuration should be backed up prior to installation and then after this build is installed, the configuration can be restored back to the desired custom settings.
- Taskbar preview thumbnails sometimes do not render consistently. If this happens, a blank area will be shown instead of the thumbnail.
