Changes[edit | edit source]
- The Books pane in Microsoft Edge can now be refreshed using a pull gesture.
- When an e-book is pinned to the Start menu from Microsoft Edge, you will now see a live tile that cycles between the book cover and the current completion progress.
- Added a new option to choose the scale of the print-out when printing PDF files from Microsoft Edge (actual size or fit to page).
- Updated Timeline to include the ability to cycle through Sets tabs in addition to being able to see the number of tabs to restore with a Sets session.
- If Windows Subsystem for Linux is enabled, a new option to open a new Linux shell will be added to the right-click menu that appears if you press ⇧ Shift on a blank area in File Explorer.
- Added preliminary support for same-site cookies in Microsoft Edge and Internet Explorer 11.
- If a Bluetooth device is running low on battery, a notification will appear to alert the user.
- When you hover over the leaf icon in the Status column in Task Manager, a tooltip will appear to describe what it means (this app is suspending processes to help improve system performance).
- General improvements, changes and bug fixes listed in the official announcement.
Bugs[edit | edit source]
General[edit | edit source]
- Narrator can read extra text when Alt+Tab ↹ is invoked.
- Dark theme support is incomplete in File Explorer and the Common File Dialog.
- If you use Remote Desktop, project the screen, or use multiple monitors, there's a chance of
Explorer.exe
hanging and crashing. Microsoft Edge can also hang in a similar fashion with this issue. - You cannot enable Developer Mode through the For developers Settings page in this build.
Sets & Office[edit | edit source]
- The top of some Win32 desktop apps may appear slightly underneath the tab bar when they're opened maximized. To fix this issue, restore and re-maximize the affected window.
- Sometimes closing one tab can minimize the entire set.
- Tiling and cascading windows do not work for inactive tabs.
- Opening an Office document while the same app has an existing document open may cause an unintended switch to the last active document. It can also happen if you close a sheet in Excel while other sheets are open.
- Locally stored files and cloud files that are on non-Microsoft cloud services are not automatically restored.
