Windows 10 build 14905 is the second officially released Insider Preview build of Windows 10 Creators Update. This build was released to Windows Insiders in the Fast Ring on 17 August 2016.

- The power button in the Start menu does not work. To shutdown or restart, try one of these workarounds:
- 1. Type in
shutdown /s(if shutting down) orshutdown /r(if restarting) in the Run dialog or Command Prompt or shutdown or restart the machine manually.

- 2. Right click on the Start button or press ⊞ Win+X to open up the quick actions menu, then shutdown or restart from there.
- 3. Press Alt+F4 without any active windows to open the legacy power dialog, then choose a power action to continue.
- The Settings app may crash in certain SKUs of this build when navigating to a certain page due to a missing DLL file.

Some 3rd-party app may crash in this build due to a compatibility issue from a code change.
Cortana[edit | edit source]
Cortana's text to speech capabilities do not work in this build.
